Natural-Historical Park “Kosinsky”

Moscow unique glacial origin lakes can only be found in the Natural-Historical Park “Kosinsky”. Typical streamside aquatic vegetation, rather large peat and small low-level moors with specific flora and fauna are preserved along the banks of three large Kosinsky Lakes. The Rudnevka River valley with adjacent forest islands and scenic dry and inundable meadows is also very interesting. The river flows in natural banks; it has a marked bottom land; its left bank is beautified with large old poplars.

This park is very important for culture and history. There is an old village, Kosino, in its area; this village has existed for about seven centuries. There are also three orthodox temples with most interesting history.
